AVOCapture is a full-function schematic capture working under OS Windows and under OS Linux through Wine virtual machine. It represents the interactive design environment managing IC designing process.
Key Features
- A user-friendly interface.
- Project managing.
- Ability to use complex-hierarchy and reference structures.
- Full-function set of drawing elements and options.
- Simplicity of using a text sub-circuit (specified in the netlist) as a sub-scheme.
- Output netlist translators.
- Integrated with AVOSpice and AVOProbe.
- Remote launching of Third Parties simulators.
- Custom graphics libraries creation with Library editor.
- Graphic modification of model parameters with Model editor.
AVOCapture Main Window
Functional Capabilities:
- creating projects, schemes and drafts;
- ability to use parametrical hierarchical blocks;
- attaching netlist subcircuit to a hierarchical block;
- creating schemes as libraries to refer to them from the different projects;
- complete set of options and utilities necessary for circuit drawing (color palette adjustment, grid settings, scheme partitioning into several drafts, specifying draft sizes, printing, print preview, elements auto-numbering, drawing buses, etc.);
- specifying different graphics/element properties;
- placing wires and buses;
- placing voltage and current markers;
- creating multiple hierarchy for voltage/current markers;
- using finding element utility;
- print preview;
- placing IC elements;
- using text HDL-files to store individual parameters of the elements;
- output translators: HSPICE/SPECTRE;
- building simulation profile: analysis mode, models of elements; outputs to be saved, simulation options etc.;
- simulator running interface;
- checking electrical rules;
- double click the error or warning in the report opens any level with them;
- running additional utilities: Library editor and Model editor.
